As a Senior Search Developer at our company, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of enterprise-level search solutions. Your primary focus will be on implementing and optimizing high-performance search platforms using technologies such as SOLR, ElasticSearch, or Opensearch, as well as building RESTful services to seamlessly integrate with various applications. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable search solutions utilizing Apache SOLR, ElasticSearch, or Opensearch. You will also be tasked with creating and exposing RESTful APIs to support search-related functionalities. Collaboration with product managers, architects, and development teams will be essential to successfully integrate search capabilities into our business applications. In addition, you will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing search performance, which includes indexing strategies, query performance enhancements, and relevance tuning. Monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving the search platform to ensure high availability and reliability will also be part of your day-to-day tasks. Furthermore, you will be expected to participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers. To excel in this role, you must have a minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience. Your expertise should include strong hands-on experience with SOLR, ElasticSearch, or Opensearch, as well as solid programming skills in Java. Proficiency in designing and developing RESTful web services is essential, along with a deep understanding of search concepts such as full-text search, faceted search, filters, stemming, relevance tuning, and analyzers. Experience working in agile development environments, along with familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems like Git, will be advantageous.
