As a Fashion Designing Consultant, you will be responsible for bringing women's apparel designs to life, from conceptualization to the creation of final wearable garments. Your focus will be on ensuring that the designs are aligned with the brand's aesthetics, feature premium finishing, and are efficiently coordinated during the sampling process. You will collaborate closely with the brand founder and production partners, working on design development by interpreting style briefs and creating detailed flat sketches and illustrative design concepts for various garments such as dresses, shirts, and trousers. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing tech packs that include comprehensive details. In terms of fabric and construction advisory, you will suggest suitable fabrics based on the style intent, provide advice on fabric specifications like GSM, weave type, fall, structure, lining, and surface finish compatibility. Your expertise will help in identifying and resolving potential fit, structure, or fabric mismatch issues at an early stage of the design process. During sampling and coordination, you will work closely with manufacturers, review proto samples, and guide iteration cycles according to the brand's quality benchmarks. Furthermore, you will liaise with pattern makers and production units to ensure timelines are met and accuracy is maintained. Proficiency in software tools such as Adobe Illustrator for flat sketches and mood boards, Photoshop for edits and mockups, and familiarity with CLO3D or Browzwear for 3D simulation would be beneficial for this role. You should be comfortable creating measurement charts, layout plans, and stitch detail diagrams in digital formats. Understanding the brand tone of Continua Creations, which focuses on understated luxury, natural elegance, and comfort, is essential. Your creative input will be valuable in expanding the collection with trans-seasonal and office-friendly designs. Additionally, supporting visual documentation for internal and vendor use, such as print-ready files, fabric layout, and spec PDFs, will be part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design and have at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in women's wear, preferably in premium Indian western wear. A deep understanding of garment construction, fabric behavior, seam finishes, and fit balance is required, along with experience working with domestic manufacturers or export units. Excellent communication skills, proficiency in MS Documentation Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and a good grasp of AI Tools for designing and simulation are essential. Experience in pre-launch brand building or independent label consulting would be a bonus. The ideal candidate for this position is organized, detail-oriented, possesses a strong sense of aesthetic and material pairing, and is a proactive communicator, especially when interacting with vendors and pattern masters. A curious, self-learning mindset and comfort in navigating ambiguity in startup environments are preferred qualities.,
