As a Video Engineer at IXG, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of cloud-native, GPU-powered remote video production and media transport solutions. Your expertise in C/C++, GStreamer, and FFmpeg will be crucial in architecting the next-generation media stack tailored for real-time streaming, low-latency workflows, and automated broadcast delivery. Your primary responsibilities will include designing and optimizing video/audio pipelines using GStreamer and FFmpeg, integrating modern streaming protocols such as SRT, NDI, RIST, and RTMP, as well as working with codecs and containers like H.264, H.265, AAC, Opus, MPEG-TS, and MP4. Troubleshooting latency, synchronization, buffer, and transport issues in live or automated media environments will be part of your routine tasks. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with backend and edge software teams to deliver high-performance, distributed video systems and stay informed about the latest broadcast and streaming technologies. We are seeking candidates with at least 2 years of full-stack experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, proficiency in C and C++ for building performance-critical applications, and a strong background in working with GStreamer and FFmpeg in production environments. A deep understanding of video/audio codecs, mux/demux, streaming containers, and hands-on experience with streaming protocols like SRT, NDI, RIST, and RTMP is essential. Knowledge of media sync, buffering, and low-latency optimization techniques, along with comfort in working in Linux environments and debugging across various layers, are key qualifications we are looking for. Candidates with additional experience in WebRTC or ultra-low latency video delivery, GPU-based encoding/decoding (e.g., NVIDIA NVENC, Intel QuickSync), familiarity with SMPTE standards, SDI workflows, AES67 audio, or exposure to cloud-based video processing stacks (e.g., AWS Media Services) will be considered a bonus. At IXG, we are focused on reimagining media infrastructure by combining GPU-accelerated encoders, edge hardware, and smart cloud transport to enable remote media teams to operate at scale without compromising on quality or latency. Join our high-agency, technically deep team and contribute to real-world deployments powering sports, news, and esports coverage. Work from anywhere and be part of a dynamic environment where your skills and expertise will make a significant impact. If you are passionate about video engineering, streaming technologies, and broadcast engineering, and if you are excited about working on cutting-edge projects in a collaborative and innovative environment, then this role at IXG is perfect for you. Apply now to be a part of our team and drive the future of cloud-native video production and media transport.,
