Role Overview: You will be joining the cloud product engineering team at ValGenesis as an experienced Test automation engineer/SDET. Your main responsibility will be to develop the next generation applications for global customers while ensuring quality, security, and performance standards are met. Key Responsibilities: - Work as part of a team that includes Business Analysts/Product Owners, Developers, and SDETs to develop enterprise software applications. - Understand business requirements and contribute to the design and development/coding aspects. - Participate in the complete development life cycle. - Setup, maintain, and operate test automation frameworks. - Conduct test automation on various application platforms such as Web and Mobile. - Create and manage the test repository including scenarios, cases, steps, priorities, and categories, as well as test metrics. - Manage and be involved in CI/CD specific activities. - Take ownership and be accountable for the Quality and Reliability of the product deliverables. - Strive for self-excellence and contribute to the success of the team and stakeholders. - Utilize object-oriented design and coding skills in programming languages such as C#, Python, and Javascript. - Proficient in UI and API testing. - Experience in building and implementing automation frameworks, preferably Robo/Python based. - Exposure to Agile and DevSecOps methodologies. - Ability to review code, write unit tests, and approach test outcomes with a programmer's mindset. - Good understanding of distributed systems architecture, component layers, and algorithms. - Knowledge of Performance and Security testing tools/frameworks. Qualifications Required: - 2 to 6 years of experience in enterprise software product development lifecycle/phases. - Object-oriented design and coding skills in Python and Javascript. - Experience in building and implementing UI and API automation frameworks. - Exposure to Agile and DevSecOps methodologies. - Ability to review code, write tests, and approach test outcomes with a programmer's mindset. - Good understanding of distributed systems architecture, component layers, and algorithms. - Knowledge of Performance and Security testing tools/frameworks. - Experience or knowledge in pharma regulatory, quality, risk, process validation is preferable. Key Responsibilities Ensure the quality of 3D desktop applications through objective and comprehensive testing. Design manual test strategies and test cases based on software requirements specifications . Execute manual tests , including visual inspection of 3D objects , identifying defects and patterns with a curiosity-driven mindset. Act as a QA stakeholder during project-level discussions , offering input from early concept through release and scale. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across global locations including developers, product managers, and business stakeholders. Help define product success criteria and contribute to product planning and specification reviews. Work closely with Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) to translate manual tests into automated scripts. Create and manage bugs throughout their lifecycle using tools such as JIRA . Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint reviews, and planning sessions. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications 6+ years of hands-on manual testing experience , especially with complex desktop applications. Previous experience testing 3D/CAD/CAM software or similar visual desktop platforms. Familiarity with bug tracking tools like JIRA . Experience working within Agile or Scrum teams. Deep understanding of QA best practices , testing processes, and methodologies. Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly learn complex systems . High attention to detail and ability to follow and contribute to test strategies and plans. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Nice to Have Exposure to 3D/CAD applications such as SolidWorks, Geomagic, or Magics . Experience with test automation in Python using pytest framework. Knowledge of non-functional testing , such as performance and scalability testing. Experience working in distributed teams across global locations . Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo , etc.
