We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 6+ years of experience in IT and a strong background in investment banking . The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing test automation strategies, ensuring system performance, and enhancing software quality. You will work within a global QA team , leveraging agile methodologies such as Scrum, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery (CD). This role demands a proactive and innovative mindset to drive thought leadership , encourage forward-thinking , and inspire innovation within the team. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with geographically dispersed development and QA teams. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks for web applications using Selenium, Playwright, TestNG, BDD Cucumber, and Java . Automate API and backend processes using various test automation tools and technologies. Apply testing standards and design patterns to improve productivity, quality, and system performance. Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement unattended test execution through CI/CD pipelines. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, integration, regression, and system testing. Perform white-box, black-box, positive/negative, and edge case testing to ensure robust software quality. Work closely with developers and business analysts to understand functional requirements and contribute to refining user stories. Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Continuously explore new testing methodologies, tools, and best practices to optimize test efficiency . Troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis , and provide effective solutions. Required Skills & Experience: 6+ years of experience in an SDET role with a strong focus on investment banking applications. Hands-on experience in Java programming and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles . Expertise in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, TestNG, and BDD Cucumber. Experience in API automation and backend testing using industry-standard tools. Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes.
