Job Description

The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will play a crucial role within the Access Systems Engineering team under the Growth Experience Technology Org. Your primary responsibility will be to support the team of engineers dedicated to developing Global Trade Compliance solutions. You will drive the development of automated regression tests, end-to-end integrations, and automation frameworks. Additionally, you will collaborate with the in-house testing platform to establish robust automated testing pipelines. This hands-on role will involve designing and automating functional and regression tests to enhance the productivity of engineering teams and standardize testing processes. Reporting to the Leader of Access Systems Engineering, you will work closely with engineering and business teams to ensure the automation of tests and delivery of high-quality services with each release. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining test automation for critical business scenarios, coordinating test planning and integration activities, troubleshooting and resolving issues, and enhancing UI and integrated test automation frameworks using technologies such as Java, JavaScript, and Python. You will participate in code and design reviews, develop automation test scripts for web-based and API test cases, and contribute to technical leadership to improve the Quality of Engineering Organization. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test, with hands-on experience in designing automation frameworks from scratch. Proficiency in Java and JavaScript is a must, along with experience in developing test automation tools and frameworks. Knowledge of test frameworks like Playwright, TestNG, and Selenium, programming languages such as Python, Typescript, and Java, and developer and CI/CD tools like IntelliJ, Eclipse, Jenkins, and Git is required. Experience in testing services on cloud platforms like AWS and familiarity with quality best practices and methodologies are essential. Strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, meet deadlines, troubleshoot effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams are also important. Preferred qualifications include experience in Integration & E2E testing, developing Java+selenium, Cypress, or Playwright test frameworks for web-based applications, and using CI/CD Jenkins pipelines. Hands-on experience in setting up test data and testing in multiple environments is a plus.
