As an SDET at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of software products across web, mobile, and API platforms. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and executing test plans, both through manual testing and automated tools, to detect and address defects. Additionally, you will be proficient in database testing to guarantee the integrity and reliability of data interactions within the system. You will be involved in various tasks including developing comprehensive test plans based on project specifications, designing and documenting test cases for web, mobile, API, and database testing, and collaborating with development teams to understand system requirements. Your role will also encompass automation testing where you will develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium and Appium, execute automated test suites, analyze results, and implement efficient testing strategies. Manual testing will be a part of your responsibilities too, involving the execution of manual test cases for functional, regression, and performance testing, documenting and reporting defects with detailed information for developers, and conducting exploratory testing to identify unforeseen issues. Furthermore, you will perform end-to-end testing of web and mobile applications, validate API functionality and integration points, and ensure compatibility across different browsers and mobile devices. Continuous Integration will also be a key aspect where you will design, implement, and maintain CI pipelines for automated testing and deployment, integrate automated tests into CI workflows for early defect detection, and optimize CI processes for speed, efficiency, and reliability. In the realm of database testing, you will develop and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity, verify data transformations and migrations, and address performance issues related to database interactions. Collaboration is essential as well, where you will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and user stories, and participate in agile ceremonies providing input on quality-related aspects. Maintaining detailed and organized documentation of test cases, results, and issues, as well as creating and updating testing documentation as the application evolves, will also be part of your responsibilities.
