Job Description

Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Location: Gurgaon (In-Office) Work Hours: In-Office: 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM Remote (From Home): 9:00 PM – 12:30 AM About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our dynamic QA team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both manual and automated testing , with hands-on experience in tools like Detox, Cypress, or Playwright . This is an in-office role based in Gurgaon , requiring a mix of daytime on-site presence and evening remote work. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites using Detox, Cypress, or Playwright. Execute and manage both manual and automated test plans to ensure product quality. Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software. Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or similar. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle. Maintain test scripts and ensure integration with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, BitBucket CI, etc. Identify, document, and track bugs and performance issues. Maintain a high level of communication across team members and stakeholders. Required Qualifications Education: BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Computer Science or MCA. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in test automation and manual testing. Languages & Tools: Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript , with good understanding of OOP concepts . Experience with test automation tools like Detox , Cypress , or Playwright . Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman . Hands-on experience with Git and other version control systems. Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins , GitLab CI , BitBucket CI . Additional Skills: Strong manual testing capabilities. Good understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices . Problem-solving and debugging skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with performance and load testing tools is a plus. Work Arrangement This is a full-time, in-office role located in Gurgaon .
