SDE + Subject Matter Expert - Full Stack

You will be joining Newton School as a Software Development Engineer + Subject Matter Expert Full Stack in the Computer Science Department. Your role will be academically focused, requiring a strong background in Web Development and experience in teaching and mentoring students in core Computer Science subjects. Your key responsibilities will include designing and delivering engaging lectures and practical sessions in MERN Stack, conducting and managing lab sessions for hands-on coding experience, collaborating with faculty members, researchers, and industry partners to enhance the curriculum, mentoring students, assisting with project work, collaborating with university administrators and Newton School representatives, and encouraging students to engage in cutting-edge research and industry collaborations. To be successful in this role, you should have 1-3 years of experience as a Software Developer focusing on Full Stack Development, proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, React.js, Angular, and the MERN stack, a strong grasp of Full Stack Development, the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms, and adaptability to learn and teach core computer science topics. Having prior teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level, familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and academic tools, and experience in software development and system design are considered good-to-have qualifications.
