Role Overview: You will be responsible for architecting and developing one or more major areas of the Synaptic platform, overseeing project teams as required. Your role will involve translating business requirements into system requirements, designing specifications, and documenting new and existing application requirements. Additionally, you will work closely with the business team, technical teams, and user groups in the design and development of applications. As a Lead Engineer, you will find creative and elegant solutions to complex problems, conceive and lead the development and design of highly innovative, large software solutions that significantly impact future development. Key Responsibilities: - Translate business requirements into system requirements, design specifications, and document new and existing application requirements - Work closely with the business team, technical teams, and user groups in the design and development of applications - Conceive and lead the development and design of highly innovative, large software solutions - Participate in conceiving and setting the direction for development projects - Perform and lead triage and analysis of application incidents - Generate innovative new ideas, concepts, high fidelity software prototypes, and minimum viable products (MVPs) - Evaluate, analyze, and lead the adoption of emerging new technologies and practices to improve software delivery Qualification Required: - 5+ years of experience developing object-oriented software with a solid understanding of Ruby/Rails or Python - In-depth understanding of relational and NoSQL databases - Experience in building pipelines to ingest terabytes of data spanning billions of rows - Experience in working with large code bases and complex problems - Experience in setting up development processes to ensure timely and optimal delivery - Fluency in engineering practices such as TDD, CI, continuous deployment, and code reviews - Ability to instrument a system to identify and solve performance issues and constraints - Understanding of scaling, throughput, and latency - Previous experience working with ElasticSearch, Cassandra, Kafka, SingleStore (MemSQL), Spark, or any other BigData solution is preferred,
