SDE II (Shopify Developer)

Job Description: As a Shopify Developer at our full-service Shopify-focused eCommerce agency, you will play a crucial role in developing, customizing, and maintaining Shopify e-commerce websites for our high-growth brand clients. Collaborating closely with our design and development teams, you will contribute to creating visually appealing online stores that drive growth. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify e-commerce websites. - Extend themes functionality for custom cart, custom filters, or similar requirements. - Work with metaobject and metafield structuring for complex data structures. - Collaborate with designers and other developers to identify key problems and implement solutions effectively. - Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features. - Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. - Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs. - Maintain code quality, organization, and automation. Required Skills: - Experience with front-end JavaScript libraries like React, Vue, Svelte, etc. - Competence in Vanilla JavaScript (ES6) including async JavaScript. - Experience in Liquid and SCSS (or tailwind / MUI). - Excellent communication skills for documenting and reporting issues clearly. - Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical team members. - Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset. Qualifications: - 3-5 years of experience as a Shopify developer or relevant skills. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Experience with Shopify development is advantageous. - Strong knowledge of Shopify metaobject and metafield structures is advantageous. - Portfolio showcasing past projects demonstrating required skills and experience. Nice-to-Have: - Familiarity with Shopify's Liquid template language and Shopify's app ecosystem. - Understanding of Shopify themes, plugins, and customizations in Shopify stores. Technical Skills: - Cross-browser testing tools (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, etc.). - Bug tracking tools (JIRA, Trello, Asana). - Responsive testing tools (Chrome DevTools, Responsinator, Browser DevTools). - Familiarity with Shopify themes, Liquid, Shopify Plus, and Shopify Admin is a plus.
