SDE 1 - Backend Developer

You are seeking a highly motivated Software Development Engineers I (SDE-1) to join the engineering team focused on enhancing the Customer Experience and Post-Order Journey. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of scalable, high-performance backend systems and microservices that directly impact customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and DevOps to build robust, reliable solutions that ensure a seamless customer journey. - Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot. - Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to support core customer and post-order use cases. - Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices. - Work closely with the team in an agile environment, participating in sprint planning, code reviews, and release cycles. - Collaborate with engineers to design efficient schemas and queries for RDBMS systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL). - Ensure high availability and performance of backend services through unit and integration testing. - Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions. - Proficient in Java, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles. - Hands-on experience with the Spring Boot framework. - Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs. - Familiarity with microservices architecture and service orchestration patterns. - Strong knowledge of relational databases and writing optimized SQL queries. - Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is a Good-to-Have skill. Working knowledge of Kafka or other messaging/streaming platforms is a Good-to-Have skill. Experience with Docker and containerized application deployment is a Good-to-Have skill. Familiarity with Kubernetes (K8s) for orchestration and scaling is a Good-to-Have skill. Basic understanding of ReactJS or frontend-backend integration principles is a Good-to-Have skill.,
