We are looking for a Cisco_RnS_Implementation and Migration role/Network Engineer to join our team at TCTS (Tata Communication Transformation Services) for our end client, CISCO. This position is based in Bangalore at the CISCO office on a Contract to Hire model. The ideal candidate should have at least 9 years of experience in the field. As a Network Consulting Engineer (NCE), you will play a crucial role in delivering technologies, solutions, and services to effectively manage customer networks. In this position, you will be the primary interface between Cisco and the customers, working in a dynamic environment to ensure the successful delivery of commitments. You should be a seasoned problem solver who is not afraid to challenge conventions and can quickly address escalated issues. Your responsibilities will include building strong relationships with other Customer Support Engineers, engaging directly with Cisco customers to resolve issues, managing customer expectations, and aiming to leave a positive impression of Cisco. You will also be expected to leverage industry best practices, understand customers" infrastructure in detail, and handle multiple customers" implementation and migration needs, either remotely or onsite. In this role, you will take ownership of task/project implementations/migrations, introduce new techniques and methodologies to improve customer delivery, and collaborate with various internal and external resources to optimize Cisco services and solutions. Your technical expertise should include Routing and Switching, specifically with products like Cisco Catalyst 9k, 2k, 3k, 4k, and 6k families. Experience with technologies like IGP, OSPF, EGP, BGP, STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, MSTP, LACP, VLAN, and emerging technologies like SDA/DNAC is preferred. Desired skills for this role include practical experience in installation, configuration, migration, and troubleshooting networking equipment, with a focus on Cisco Catalyst 9K family. You should have a strong understanding of Cisco switching platforms, updating network equipment firmware, replacing faulty components, reporting configuration and project status, and in-depth knowledge of Routing and Switching technologies. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, coordination, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under high pressure in a challenging environment. You will be responsible for managing and owning support tickets related to existing customer services, as well as collaborating closely with 3rd level engineers for internal escalation points.
