As a Software Engineer (SE Back End - .Net) at Morningstar, you will play a vital role in helping investors by developing products that empower our users. You will be proficient in .NET and work with technologies such as .NET Core, AWS, SQL Server, LINQ, and Web API. Your responsibilities will include building stable and scalable products, following software design best practices, and solving investors" problems with technology. You will collaborate with team members across disciplines to create technical solutions that push us forward. Your passion for quality, process, programming, and investing will drive you to continuously improve and share your knowledge with others. Additionally, you will be responsible for the success of the team and help shape the product vision. To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, along with 3-5 years of software development experience. You should have solid experience with C# and the Microsoft .Net stack, as well as knowledge in XML programming. Experience with Web APIs, MVC, Unity, Entity Framework, LINQ, and SQL Server is essential. Being organized, highly motivated, and able to learn new technologies will be beneficial. Experience working in Scrum-based methodologies and familiarity with AWS and .NET Core are considered good to have.
