Role Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in automation architecture and testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in designing scalable automation frameworks, executing robust test strategies, and working with modern tools and technologies such as Playwright, Java, JavaScript, or Python. This role requires a proactive engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality software products. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks for web and API testing. Build robust, maintainable, and efficient automated test scripts using Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages. Develop and execute automated API tests for REST and SOAP services using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or similar. Implement and manage UI test automation using tools like Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent. Troubleshoot and debug test failures, resolve flakiness, and optimize test performance. Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and DevOps to integrate automated tests in a CI/CD pipeline. Ensure best practices in test design, code quality, and test coverage across automation suites. Utilize version control systems like Git to manage and maintain automation code repositories. Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving automation standards and guidelines. Required Skills and Experience: 5 to 9 years of hands-on experience in QA Automation. Strong understanding of automation architecture, core concepts, and QA best practices. Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Python, or other automation-focused programming languages. Proven expertise in API automation testing (REST/SOAP). Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and/or other modern automation tools. Familiarity with UI automation frameworks and tools. Experience working in cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure) and SaaS platforms. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills, especially related to flaky or unstable tests. Experience with version control systems like Git. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in agile teams. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with performance and load testing is a plus. ISTQB or equivalent QA certification. 5 - 9 years of hands-on experience in QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in automation architecture and testing methodologies.
