Software Test Scrum Lead - Cockpit Software Transforming how we interact with our vehicles to make the driving experience more enjoyable, connected, and safe 1. The Mission of this Role: Leads testing efforts for multiple software projects with varying degrees of complexity / priorities. Undertakes testing activities in Test Automation, Behaviour driven development (BDD), Scrum and Agile practices. Establishes tactical plans, collaborates across functions to improve efficiency and predictability in software testing. Provides technical road map and day-to-day technical leadership to the testing scrum teams. Responsible for capability building of scrum team members with their knowledge and expertise. 2. Scope: Focus on understanding and analyzing requirements, creating user stories and acceptance criteria, and testing with the right level of automation. Works on developing a technology roadmap with their knowledge across domains and software testing. Collaborates across functions, leads testing efforts and management of defects, liaisons with the test leads. Mentors and coaches team members on agile standards and best practices. 3. How You Will Spend Your Days: Key Accountability % of Time spent Success Measure Providing Technical Leadership Establishes technical roadmap and provides day-to-day technical leadership to testing scrum teams with their subject expertise. Facilitates discussions to understand and effectively capture and analyze requirements, create user stories and acceptance criteria to achieve a joint understanding of needs. Works to review UAT scenarios and scripts and also inform end users on the UAT objectives, processes, roles and responsibilities. Stays up-to-date with industry trends and developments. 20% Schedule Adherence and Quality of deliverables Quality and accuracy of scrum roadmap Leading and implementing improvement opportunities to existing methodologies Participates proactively in Agile techniques like behaviour driven development (BDD), continuous testing, pairing, automated testing and best practices research. Ensures process documents / artefacts are maintained and continuously improved (by analysing systemic issues) to enable efficient execution Leads test based development in line with QCD (quality, cost and delivery) norms for the scope of the scrum team. 40% On time delivery High quality performance Continually improving efficiency/reducing effort Scrum planning / Coaching scrum team members (including sprint planning) Drives sprint planning, team capacity planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, testing automation and management of defects. Number of issues against scrum deliverables Identifying and managing project risks Manages multiple projects with schedule and budgetary constraints involving cross-functional teams. Partners with project managers and test leads to communicate delivery of work product and escalates any key risks that would impede effectiveness. Proactively develops plans to anticipate risks and address them by leading issue resolution from the front. 10% Effectiveness of risk mitigation plans. Key Experience required: Bachelors degree in electrical or Electronics Engineering, (ME/MTech/MS preferred) Over 13+ years of experience in embedded systems, including automotive software development, integration, and testing. Strong understanding of automotive domain features and diverse functionalities. Proficient in Software Integration Testing (SWE5), Software Qualification Testing (SWE6), and managing the complete test lifecycle. In-depth knowledge of AUTOSAR, QNX, middleware, device drivers, Battery Management Systems (BMS), and experience with automotive ECU validation using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) techniques. Familiar with UI automation tools such as Selenium, Robot Framework, and Appium. Skilled in managing and successfully delivering multiple projects concurrently. Expertise in Test automation frameworks and scripting languages, including Python and CAPL. Experience with AI Powered testing tools, Scripting for automating tests and integrating AI algo enhancing test execution Hands-on experience with tools such as Logic Analysers, CANalyzer, function generators, and debugging tools like TRACE32 and Lauterbach. Well-versed in Agile/SCRUM methodologies and experienced in Integrating AI based test automation with Devops pipeline Solution-focused approach to effectively resolve business and technical challenges to meet objectives.
