Key Responsibilities: Prepare the OT before surgeries, ensuring all required surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and sterile Assist the surgeon during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies as needed Maintain strict aseptic and sterile techniques throughout the procedure Count sponges, instruments, and needles pre- and post-procedure with the circulating nurse to ensure patient safety Ensure proper functioning of surgical equipment and report malfunctions immediately Assist in positioning and draping the patient in accordance with the type of surgery Dispose of waste materials safely and clean the OT after procedures Assist in maintaining cand requisition supplies as needed Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, and other OT staff to ensure smooth surgical procedures Comply with hospital protocols, infection control policies, and patient safety standards
