As a Systems Engineer at Qualcomm, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and evaluating GPU architecture and microarchitecture to enhance performance and power efficiency. Your responsibilities will include GPU power modeling, workload analysis, profiling, and characterizations. You will be tasked with minimizing power consumption in GPU registers, logic, memory, and clock components. A minimum of 2 years of experience in ASIC design and verification, as well as low-power ASIC optimization, is required. Furthermore, Qualcomm requires candidates to meet certain minimum qualifications based on their level of education and years of experience in Systems Engineering. A Master's or PhD degree in relevant fields along with a specified number of years in Systems Engineering will also be considered. Preferred qualifications for this position include a Master's or PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. You should have at least 3 years of experience in advanced CPU/GPU architecture and microarchitecture design development, 5 years of experience in VLSI design and verification, and proficiency in industry tools such as PrimeTime PX and Power Artist. Experience with programming languages like C/C++, scripting languages such as Python/Perl, Assembly, Verilog/SystemVerilog, and Design Verification skills are highly valued. Knowledge of Vulkan, DirectX3D, OpenGL, OpenCL, or Cuda development, as well as GPU driver and compiler development, will be advantageous.
