About the Role

Short Form Scriptwriter

Responsibilities

• Research and write 24-30 high-quality scripts monthly for Instagram and other short-form platforms
• Provide editors with specific B-Roll links and visual-aid input to bring scripts to life
• Analyse performance data and adapt writing approach based on audience response
• Work collaboratively with editors to ensure smooth content production workflow
• Manage the script-to-publication process (3-4 hours writing, 3-4 hours production support daily)
• Create efficient workflows to consistently meet monthly deliverables
• Occasionally interface with clients to discuss content strategy and requirements

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience creating content for brands, creators, or personal platforms with measurable engagement metrics

Required Skills

• Strong research skills and ability to identify trending topics in relevant niches
• Excellent writing abilities without over-reliance on AI tools (should use LLMs strategically to enhance thinking and identify trends, not replace original writing)
• Understanding of visual storytelling and how scripts translate to video
• Demonstrated ability to write engaging hooks and maintain viewer attention
• Experience analysing content performance data and adjusting strategy accordingly
• Portfolio of previous work showing writing quality and engagement results
