About Pocket FM Its an amazing time to join Pocket FM as we continue shaping the future of audio entertainment both in India and beyond. We are front-ending the category created for the audio OTT landscape and building the largest repository of audio streaming content across formats like audio series, audiobooks, and podcasts, through our unique storytelling approach. We are reimagining the traditional audio pattern to build an internet-scale platform and bring together communities to share stories and spread knowledge. Our mission is to give voice to stories and wisdom. Pocket FM has grown to 15 million MAL (monthly active listeners), spending an average of over 100 minutes every day, while the total monthly audio streaming on the app counts to over 3 billion minutes. We are a Series C-funded start-up backed by marquee investors like Naver, Goodwater Capital, Lightspeed, Tanglin Venture Partners, and others. WHO YOU ARE A graduate or postgraduate with a flair for storytelling. A creative thinker with a strong writing background, excellent command of the English language both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail. Can write and refine scripts, including dialogues, narration, and sound cues (SFX) to enhance the storytelling and emotional impact of the content. Comfortable working on Gen Ai tools. Someone who thrives in fast-paced environments meets tight deadlines, and can seamlessly switch between editing and writing tasks. Familiar with using Google Workspace apps (Docs, Sheets, and Slides) and other content management systems. RESPONSIBILITIES Reviewing and shaping scripts to ensure clarity, flow, and impact while correcting spelling, punctuation, grammar, and factual inaccuracies. Localize scripts using the Gen AI tool, make creative adjustments to generated content to improve storytelling and refine dialogue, structure, or narrative to engage the target audience. Collaborating closely with writers, and production teams. Ensuring content remains culturally sensitive, appropriate, and aligned with audience preferences, avoiding language or themes that could offend. Helping to shape content strategy by contributing ideas, brainstorming, and providing feedback that enhances overall content quality.
