We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, a passion for storytelling, and proficiency in video editing software. The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a finished product suitable for broadcasting. This role requires a thorough understanding of video production processes, including post-production techniques, and the ability to collaborate with other team members to produce high-quality content. Key Responsibilities: - Edit video content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and advertising. - Collaborate with the creative team to understand project scope and objectives. - Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity. - Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film. - Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects. - Create rough and final cuts. - Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running. - Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process. - Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency. - Manage and organize media files and maintain a well-organized archive. Qualifications: - Proven work experience as a Video Editor. - Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut). - Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio. - Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity. - Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing. - Creative mind and storytelling skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent time management and organizational skills. - Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members. Additional Requirements: - Ability to work under tight deadlines. - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. - A strong understanding of post-production workflow and video formats.
