You may also be involved in brainstorming ideas and conducting research for upcoming projects. Providing support during production by being on set to help with day-to-day operations. This may involve assisting the crew with organization, managing equipment, and keeping track of footage. Diving into post-production by working closely with editors, sound designers, and VFX artists in the editing suite. You will review footage, ensure continuity, and contribute to the overall creative process. Exploring the incorporation of AI technology in various aspects of production to enhance efficiency. This includes automating tasks, improving video editing, and managing production data using AI tools for color grading, sound design, scriptwriting, and more. Assisting with content organization and data management by organizing and tagging footage to ensure accessibility for editors and other departments. You will be hands-on in setting up systems and maintaining order. Supporting the marketing and distribution efforts by collaborating with the marketing team. You will utilize AI tools to create promotional content, analyze audience data, and contribute to social media strategy. As an Intern Assistant Director (Pre-Production) at Moonlight Films and Theatre Studio in New Delhi, you will be part of a creative production house dedicated to independent cinema and performance arts. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the pre-production phase of a feature film, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the planning and organization essential for successful filmmaking. Your responsibilities will include assisting with script breakdowns, scene analysis, casting, location scouting, scheduling meetings, rehearsals, and production timelines. You will be responsible for maintaining documentation, shot lists, continuity notes, and coordinating with various departments such as art, costume, and production design. Additionally, you will provide administrative support to the Director and 1st AD during the preparation phase, ensuring effective communication between all teams involved in pre-production. To excel in this role, you should be based in Delhi/NCR with a strong interest in film direction and behind-the-scenes work. Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Basic knowledge of script formatting and filmmaking terminology is required, and a background in theatre, film studies, or media is preferred. Familiarity with tools like Google Docs, Excel, and scheduling software would be advantageous. About the Role Were looking for a concept-driven, emotionally intuitive Scriptwriter who can transform briefs, storyboards, and loose ideas into powerful, screen-ready narratives . Youll work at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and execution —writing brand films, testimonials, reels, educational content, and campus stories that feel real, inspiring, and unforgettable. Candidates with prior experience in creative agencies or having directed branded content will feel right at home here. You’ll be expected to write with both a cinematic eye and a production mind , understanding how each line translates to screen. What You'll Do Write compelling scripts for a wide range of content: reels, testimonials, brand videos, motion explainers, interviews, and campus docs Collaborate with content strategists and producers to turn ideas into emotionally resonant narratives Polish and rewrite scripts drafted by internal teams, aligning them with storytelling best practices Ensure pacing, flow, tone, and messaging match both audience and platform Participate in directional planning, blocking, and shoot scripting when needed Guide VO recordings, scene transitions, and editing cues through your script structure Build a library of story structures and creative templates for recurring formats What You Bring 3–6 years of experience as a scriptwriter / copywriter / screenwriter , preferably in creative agencies or branded content studios Experience in the Tech and EdTech domains is a plus Experience in video direction or co-directing campaigns is a strong plus Strong grasp of structure, emotional flow, narrative layering, and dialogue authenticity Visual thinking—your words are designed to move on screen, not just sit on a doc Ability to write for different platforms (YouTube, Reels, Docs, Social Ads) and audiences (students, parents, professionals) Familiarity with regional stories and cultural nuance is a big plus Bonus: Experience working closely with editors, cinematographers, or designers Why Nxtwave(NIAT)?
