The Senior Buyer will play a key role in the Supply Chain & Procurement process , responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and ensuring the timely supply of raw materials and services. The role demands strong technical knowledge in sheet metal, plates, and tubes (MS material) along with proven expertise in vendor development, supplier negotiations, and compliance with organizational policies. Key Responsibilities Research, scout, and qualify new suppliers in alignment with company standards. Manage supplier relationships, contracts, and purchasing conditions. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to optimize cost savings and efficiency. Generate, process, and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Ensure timely supply of raw materials and services for production requirements. Monitor material stock levels and maintain warehouse availability. Resolve disputes, manage penalties, and handle issues related to quality, pricing, and delivery delays. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, ethical standards, and sustainability practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Technical, Operations, Planning, and Finance to align on make/buy policies, planning rules, and cost expectations. Conduct performance analysis of suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery punctuality. Provide technical assistance between suppliers and internal teams for smooth operations. Skills & Competencies Required Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings . Technical negotiation skills and vendor development expertise. Knowledge of raw materials (sheet metal, plates, tubes in MS material). Proficiency in MS Office & ERP systems . Excellent skills in Excel, Outlook, and Time Management . Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving ability. Leadership skills with a disciplined execution approach. Soft skills: Team building, adaptability, and collaborative mindset. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred). Proven 4–6 years of experience as a Buyer / Senior Buyer in manufacturing or engineering industries (preferably steel, sheet metal, castings, or mechanical components). Strong knowledge of purchasing, cost management, and supplier negotiations. Excellent command of spoken and written English.
