Scope of the role: We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Deputy Finance Manager to join our dynamic team in the metal trading industry. This role requires a strong foundation in accounting, trade finance, compliance, and reporting, with the ability to manage financial operations related to both domestic and international metal trading activities. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry knowledge, sound judgment, and a hands-on approach to finance leadership. Main Responsibilities and Activities: Financial Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, payables/receivables, bank reconciliations, month-end and year-end closings in compliance with applicable accounting standards. Compliance & Taxation: Ensure timely filing and compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, and statutory audits; ensure adherence to legal and financial regulations. Financial Reporting & MIS: Prepare and present timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, variance analysis, and management reports. Audit and Internal Control: Coordinate internal and external audits and implement recommendations. Strengthen internal controls across financial processes. Business Support: Partner with cross-functional teams such as trading, logistics, and procurement to align financial practices and provide business insights. Trade Finance Management: Handle trade finance documentation and banking transactions for imports/exports, including bill of entry, forex management, and liaising with banks. Education Qualification & Skills Required: · Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field · CA(Final) / CMA(Final) / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification preferred · Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in the metal or commodity trading industries · Strong understanding of trade finance, customs documentation, and regulatory norms related to import/export · Hands-on experience with accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills · Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
