Your Role And Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.The work model for the role is: This role is contributing to the Motion business at Bangalore, India:You will be mainly accountable for:
- Recommends / supports in Identifying new suppliers and coordinates with relevant category team. Follows the process to qualify new suppliers in cooperation with Supplier Quality and Engineering specialists
- Supports in negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews pricelists, terms and conditions and feeds back recommendations for appropriate actions.
- Tracks goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensure invoice processing as per available guidelines. Oversees supplier performance (on time delivery, quality, lead time), and recommends solutions / resolves performance issues within the scope.
- Initiates supply orders in the system, confirms delivery with suppliers, monitors and tracks supplier performance to purchase order requirements.
- Aligns supplier orders with customer requirements (based on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/project requirements) in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price.
Qualifications For The Role
- Full time engineer with 2 to 7 years of experience.
- Experience into direct or indirect procurement.
- Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities.
- Manages relationships with stakeholders in their own area of responsibility and ensures alignment.
