Oversee inventory control to ensure the timely availability of critical supplies. Work closely with the hospital's inventory management team to track stock levels and optimize stock turnover. Minimize waste and obsolescence, particularly with perishable or time-sensitive medical supplies. Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing training and development opportunities. Set clear objectives for the team and conduct performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment within the procurement department. Conduct vendor evaluations and audits to ensure the quality and reliability of products. Ensure that all medical equipment and supplies meet required safety and quality standards. Implement quality assurance procedures for all procurement processes. Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and finance departments to assess and prioritize procurement needs. Work closely with the hospital's clinical teams to identify new products or services required. Coordinate with other departments to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of supplies. Implement procurement software and systems to streamline procurement processes and improve efficiency. Leverage data analytics to monitor procurement trends, supplier performance, and inventory levels.
