Job Role: Engineer Sales - Lab Equipment Department Sales Report to : Sales Engineer Location: (North Region) - Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttrakahand, or Uttra Pradesh No. of vacancy: 1 Job Summary: The Sales Engineer is a vital member of the sales team, responsible for driving sales of incubator shakers/growth chambers and related equipment within a designated territory. This role involves identifying potential customers, understanding their needs, presenting technical solutions, preparing quotations, negotiating contracts, and providing post-sales support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and a passion for sales as a profession. Responsibilities: ü Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and qualify potential customers through various methods, including cold calling, networking, online research, attending industry events, and following up on marketing leads. ü Needs Analysis: Understand customer requirements by asking probing questions and actively listening to their needs related to incubator shakers/plant growth chambers and their research objectives. This will often involve understanding their specific research protocols, and experimental designs. ü Technical Presentations & Demonstrations: Deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations, highlighting the features, benefits, and applications of the equipment that matches their requirement. Explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner. ü Quotation Preparation & Negotiation: Take the support of back office to prepare accurate and competitive quotations considering customer specifications, pricing guidelines, and delivery schedules. Negotiate contract terms and close deals effectively. ü Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and sales activities using sales forecast accurately and consistently. ü Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the BioPharma industry. ü Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, providing ongoing support and addressing their concerns. Ensure timely payment collection, customer satisfaction and generate repeat business. ü Post-Sales Support: Collaborate with the technical support team to ensure smooth installation, commissioning, and training for customers. Address any post-sales inquiries and provide ongoing support. ü Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing, engineering, and service, to ensure seamless customer experience. ü Reporting: Regularly report on sales activities, progress against targets, and market insights to the Sales Manager. Qualifications: Experience: ü 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in the life sciences, laboratory equipment. Technical Skills: ü Good understanding of the application related to incubator shakers/plant growth chambers ü Familiarity with growth chambers, data acquisition software & compliance requirements of the Biopharma industry is a plus. Communication Skills: ü Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Sales Skills : ü Proven ability to identify and qualify leads, build rapport with customers, and close deals effectively. Software Proficiency: ü Proficiency in CRM software , Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and other relevant sales tools. Travel: ü Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
