Position Summary:

Scientist Downstream Purification

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute downstream process activities for mammalian and/or microbial recombinant proteins in alignment with project timelines.
• Lead ground-level experimental planning, execution, data capture, compilation, and interpretation with the reporting manager.
• Review and guide preparation of technical presentations and project documentation.
• Represent the department in internal and external project meetings.
• Draft and review development reports, BPRs, SOPs, EOPs, and IOPs.
• Support prioritization discussions and provide feasibility inputs for new projects.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges and collaborate with manufacturing teams for issue resolution.
• Oversee laboratory operations including equipment upkeep, cleanliness, and compliance.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients for technical discussions.
• Ensure adherence to all EHS guidelines for a safe working environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in

  downstream process development

  for therapeutic proteins or antibodies.
• Strong expertise in chromatography, depth filtration, centrifugation, UF/DF, and sterile filtration.
• Experience with QbD-based development, DoE studies, and data analytics tools (preferred).
• Exposure to scale-up/scale-down studies, technology transfer, and virus clearance studies.
• Ability to lead small teams and independently analyze, interpret, and present experimental data.
• Familiarity with protein analytical techniques (protein assays, SDS-PAGE, HPLC, etc.) is an added advantage.
• Strong technical acumen, problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work in a dynamic, timeline-driven environment.
• Excellent planning, communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

Education:
