Role & responsibilities Key Responsibilities 1. Customer & Business Support Respond to customer enquiries and sampling requests promptly. Guide the designing and sampling team to ensure on-time sample delivery . Negotiate prices and close orders in line with company targets. Ensure clear communication with customers regarding approvals, timelines, and order details. 2. Order Management & Planning Convert confirmed orders into detailed production plans . Coordinate with Merchandising & Purchase teams for raw material readiness. Monitor order status daily and escalate risks proactively. 3. Production & Execution Lead Designers, supervisors, QC, and production teams to ensure on-time in full (OTIF) deliveries. Implement planning systems to optimize machine loading and manpower utilization. Drive efficiency, reduce wastage, and maintain top-quality standards. 4. Operational Excellence & Systems Develop SOPs for Sampling, Production, QC, Purchase, Dispatch. Implement MIS dashboards (Excel-based initially, ERP in future). Define KRAs/KPIs for all departments and monitor compliance. Run structured daily huddles, weekly reviews, and monthly performance reviews. 5. People Leadership Mentor, train, and build accountability within the operations team. Support HR in hiring and retaining high-performing staff. Build a culture of discipline, systems, and excellence. 6. Reporting & Growth Present weekly dashboards and exception reports to the Business Owner. Identify and implement process improvements to support scale-up. Contribute to strategic growth initiatives (capacity expansion, customer base growth). KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) On-Time Delivery % (OTIF) Production Efficiency % Machine Utilization % Sample Delivery Turnaround Time Rework/Rejection % Vendor/Customer Complaint Reduction % SOP/MIS Adherence % Contribution to Revenue Growth Candidate Profile 1015 years of experience in manufacturing/garments/textiles/embroidery . Strong background in production planning, quality, and customer handling . Proven track record of building systems and driving operational excellence. Leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams (Production, QC, Merchandising, Purchase). Hands-on, disciplined, and process-driven leader. Experience in SMEs or growth-stage manufacturing businesses preferred.
