As a Project Engineering Manager in the Substation/Renewable sector, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that engineering activities are carried out within the specified time frame, focusing on both quality and cost considerations. You will report to the Head of Engineering and oversee Design Leads for Solar AC, Solar DC, and the Vendor Engineering Lead - Solar. With a minimum qualification of B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering and at least 18 years of experience, you must have a strong background in the design aspects of Substation Construction and leading Engineers in executing multiple projects. Your objective will be to maintain adherence to the project schedule, optimize processes for efficient project delivery, and coordinate with various disciplines such as Civil, Structural, MEP, and Instrumentation. You will allocate work and man-hours among different roles within the project team. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate with the Project Planning Manager to align deliveries with the project schedule - Conduct regular project review meetings to ensure schedule adherence - Optimize resources and enhance productivity through internal review meetings - Review designs, calculations, and drawings for timely submission after customer approvals - Address vendor issues to ensure timely delivery of materials to the project site - Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and deliver them on time - Collaborate with inter-discipline Managers to resolve design-related issues - Assist in accurate estimation for Bill of Materials submission - Review critical issues and procedural delays related to design aspects, providing support to Site Execution teams - Implement BIM in projects and resolve procurement issues in coordination with the Supply Chain management Technical Expertise: Your role requires expertise in both primary and secondary engineering for substation projects, particularly in SolarPV projects. Familiarity with secondary engineering activities like Schemes, Wiring Diagrams, SCADA, and Control Systems is essential. You should be well-versed in leading and executing projects for different geographies, clients, and utilities.
