As a Software Update and Patch Management Specialist at Altera, your responsibilities will include managing and implementing software updates and patches for Windows-based systems and Azure cloud environments. You will interact with customers, both internal and external, to troubleshoot and resolve product issues. Your role will involve diagnosing and resolving complex customer questions or problems related to system configurations, product functionality, and bugs. You will be responsible for tracking and documenting inbound support tickets, ensuring proper notation of customer problems, and communicating with the product development department to improve the current design. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and implement software updates and patches for Windows-based systems and Azure cloud environments. - Troubleshoot and resolve product problems or issues for customers. - Diagnose and resolve complex customer questions over the telephone or Internet. - Track and document inbound support tickets, ensuring proper notation of customer problems. - Communicate with the product development department to improve current design. - Monitor infrastructure and application events. - Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate issues to subject matter experts or Microsoft Support Engineers. - Manage queues/tickets efficiently. - Stay updated on current technology trends and product offerings. - Collaborate with the team to enhance care delivery and exchange critical patient information. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in computer science/IT. - Relevant IT certification would be a plus. - Experience in patch management for Windows systems, including SCCM deployment. - Familiarity with Azure cloud services and patch management in the cloud environment. Experience: - 0-1 years of experience. - Understanding of SCCM, Win Server 2012, 2016, Windows 10 environments. - Windows administration troubleshooting skills (DNS, DHCP, IIS, Windows Cluster, Event Logs, PerfMon, Disk Management). - Intermediate knowledge of SQL (SQL Jobs, Select Query). - Knowledge of Azure cloud concepts. - Experience with remote support tools. - International support experience, preferably in the US or Europe with proficiency in verbal and written English. - Knowledge/experience with office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
