Supplier Quality Engineer About the Role: The Supplier Quality Engineer will be the technical liaison between purchasing, product engineering, manufacturing, and our supply base. In this role, the Supplier Quality Engineer will work with the suppliers to resolve supplier-manufacturing issues; implement and monitor the quality-planning systems and provide technical support throughout the lifecycle of the product. Responsibilities: 1. Supplier Qualifications Coordinate Initial Supplier Evaluation / Assessment and make recommendations for qualification and / or disqualification based upon the assessment scores Maintain supplier evaluation results. Support new supplier development to ensure that supplier meets the required quality standards of the organization 2. Ensuring Supplier Quality Coordinate with Engineering, Process and Manufacturing functions to ensure clear requirements and specifications are laid down for the components / parts Execute the First Article Inspection process to ensure parts are conforming to requirements & specifications Collecting and maintaining necessary documents and certificates of conformance from supplier Review suppliers Control Plan and manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on strict process adherence. Work with suppliers in setting up process controls, data collection, failure analysis, corrective action and reporting (in every phase of manufacturing) format and process flow Collaborate with the supplier directly to create corrective action plans to address process deviations and /or failures. Communicate with Engineering, Process and Manufacturing functions to identify opportunities for quality and productivity improvement at suppliers 3. Maintaining Supplier Quality Plan and execute supplier audit, complete and accurate documentation of audit results, drive improvement when deviations were discovered Review and maintain supplier performance metrics (LAR, DPPM, 8D closure etc), present the performance metrics as well as issues in relevant quality forum 4. Improving Supplier Quality Continually Drive root cause analysis on component/part quality issues and complete the improvement process Drive suppliers on the use of a improvement action process, quality tools & techniques. Drive suppliers in improving early detection capability and OCAP mechanism to prevent occurrence of quality issue Skills & Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience in supplier quality management of consumer electronic products Application of Statistical Tool/s, including SPC and GR&R Practitioner of DFSS concepts and tools (Greenbelt certification is a plus) Practitioner of Quality Tools such as 8D/SCAR, FAI, PDCA , Problem Solving Techniques Experience with plastic & metal tooling, molding and machining process Excellent communication & analytical skills Experience in working with Mainland Chinese suppliers preferred This position will operate from Flex and will require to travel to supplier locations as well (Based in JB, Malaysia) Send updated CV- Mobile 91-9590270707 Email:- sp@intellisearchonline.net
