Duties and Responsibilities: Formulation & Testing: Run new formulations in the lab based on local requirements for sealants and adhesives. Document the test results in a professional test report. Set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation needed for testing with minimal supervision. Data & Material Property Evaluation: Work out additional technical data such as weatherability, chemical resistance/compatibility, and other relevant material properties. Scale-up Support: Assist in the scale-up process from laboratory scale to full production. Testing Coordination: Place orders for specific tests to test centers or other internal/external units. Recognize irregularities, product problems, and communicate issues properly. Collaboration & Consultation: Consult with Senior Technical and R&D colleagues regarding lab projects and activities, providing appropriate follow-up as needed. Qualifications/Experience: Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry, Polymers, or related sciences. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in R&D, application testing, customer support, or technical service in the specialty chemicals, adhesives, and sealants market (preferably in Polyurethane, SMP, Epoxy, Acrylics).

Improve hydrometallurgical, pyrometallurgical, or electrochemical methods used in recycling. Collaborate with engineers to transition lab-scale processes to pilot or industrial scale. Choose appropriate solvents, acids, or bases for leaching and separation. Diagnose inefficiencies, contamination, or yield problems in recycling lines. Explore alternative recycling techniques (e.g., direct recycling, solvent-based methods). Investigate ways to maximize recovery of high-value metals. Adapt processes for new battery chemistries (e.g., LiFePO4, NMC, LFP, solid-state). Study environmental impacts and find greener chemical alternatives. Ensure proper handling and storage of toxic or flammable substances. Adhere to EPA, OSHA, REACH, or local environmental and safety standards. Evaluate chemical hazards and implement safety protocols for lab and plant operations. Support in emergency responses involving chemical spills or exposure. Work with engineers and plant operators to align chemical processes with mechanical and thermal operations. Maintain detailed lab notebooks, process documentation, and safety records. Generate technical reports and present findings to management or R&D teams. Educate staff on chemical safety, process updates, or new analytical methods. Education- Degree in Chemical, Metallurgical, or Mechanical Engineering
