Role & responsibilities 1 Engineering, Erection and Commissioning of Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider make PLC, HMI and SCADA based control system 2 Installation, calibration and loop checking of the various field instruments (i.e. Emerson Rosemount, Endress & Hauser, Krohne, Honeywell, Yokogawa etc.) 3 Review of control philosophy, read and make electrical P&I diagrams, cause & effect diagrams, instruments list, flow chart, Cable Schedule, Electrical Drawings etc. 4 Preparation of IO List, Power and Control Cable Schedule. 5 Experience in calibration maintenance, installation, troubleshooting of all kind of instruments used for Level, Pressure and Flow, Temperature measurement and control. 6 Experience in installation, calibration and maintenance of pneumatic valve positioners. 7 Testing & installation of Electrical control panels; doing on site electrical & instrument related troubleshooting 8 Designing, Implementing and Commissioning of new control loops as per site requirements. 9 Should have worked on ABB, Danfoss, Schneider, Siemens and AB make VFD and AC drives in various areasof application of project. Preferred candidate profile Very good communication skillls Basic knowledge of electronic & electrical components Basic knowledge of field instruments, its caliberation, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of data communication including FTP push, static IP configuration, firewalls, and secure remote connectivity. Familiarity with network components including switches, gateways, routers, and fiber optic terminations. Deep understanding of solar plant components: inverters, meters, WMS sensors, switchgear, and transformers. Qualification & Experience : Education: B. Tech/B.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering disciplines. Experience: Minimum 3 to 6 years in solar SCADA commissioning, PPC integration, and O&M operations. Key Responsibility Areas: 1. SCADA & PPC System Integration and Commissioning Design, configure, test, and commission SCADA systems at solar power plant sites. Prepare I/O lists, communication diagrams, and SCADA architectures per project requirements. Configure PPC for reactive and active power control to maintain grid code compliance. Manage integration of SCADA with PLCs, inverters, meters, relays, weather monitoring systems (WMS), and other field devices. 2. Remote Monitoring System (RMS) Configuration Install, configure, and maintain RMS for real-time data monitoring and analysis. Ensure reliable data acquisition from plant hardware to cloud-based portals and forecasting systems. Configure FTP push, CSV, and .daq file handling for diagnostics and performance reporting. 3. Communication & Protocol Management Setup and manage communication protocols including Modbus RTU/TCP, IEC 104, IEC 61850, RS485/232, and DLMS. Configure network infrastructure components such as Ethernet switches, gateways, firewalls, LIUs, routers, FO, and CAT6 cables for secure and seamless data transmission. Implement cybersecurity best practices for network and SCADA layers. 4. Plant Operations Support & Troubleshooting Monitor SCADA data to quickly identify and resolve operational issues. Analyze faults and coordinate corrective actions with O&M and site teams. Provide both remote and on-site technical support aimed at minimizing downtime. 5. Documentation & Compliance Prepare and maintain technical documentation including SOPs, network diagrams, and configuration records. Lead vendor and contractor meetings, own preparation and sign-off of MOMs. Ensure adherence to SLDC, DISCOM, and CEA reporting standards related to forecasting and grid connectivity. 6. Coordination & Teamwork Collaborate with SCADA vendors, EPC contractors, and internal engineering teams for smooth hardware/software integration. Conduct site visits for technical supervision, pre-commissioning checks, and final handovers.
