Experience : 7 -13 Years Location : Gurugram Work Mode : Work from Office The SAS Platform Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of the SAS environment, including SAS, RTDM (Real-Time Decision Manager), and ESP (Event Stream Processing) platforms . This role ensures system stability, performance optimization, security, and compliance with industry best practices while supporting business operations effectively. SAS Platform Administration Install, configure, and maintain SAS environments, including SAS Grid, RTDM, and ESP. Perform upgrades, patches, and hotfix installations to keep the platform secure and up to date. Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of SAS applications. Security & Compliance Manage access controls, user roles, and authentication mechanisms. Ensure adherence to IT security policies and regulatory requirements. Troubleshooting & Support Diagnose and resolve system issues, including performance bottlenecks and application errors. Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for SAS users and business teams. Coordinate with SAS Technical Support for issue resolution. License Management & Renewals Track and manage SAS software licenses, ensuring timely renewals. Work with vendors and procurement teams to maintain compliance with licensing agreements. Automation & Optimization Develop scripts for automation of administrative tasks. Optimize system configurations for better performance and resource utilization. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management Work closely with business analysts, data scientists, and IT teams to support business needs. Provide technical guidance on best practices for using SAS and related technologies. IT Infrastructure Team Collaborate for server maintenance, networking, and security updates. Data Science & Analytics Teams Support users in optimizing SAS applications and workflows. Application Development Teams Assist with SAS integration into business applications. Project Management & Business Units Work on new projects requiring SAS platform support. Skills: Core Expertise 7+ years of experience in SAS administration, including SAS RTDM and SAS ESP. Strong knowledge of SAS 9.x and Viya architecture, deployment, and maintenance. Experience in managing SAS Grid environments and troubleshooting cluster-related issues. Expertise in applying SAS patches, hotfixes, and security updates. Technical Skills Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration, shell scripting, and automation. Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, or other relational databases integrated with SAS. Hands-on experience with SAS Metadata Server, SAS Web Applications, and SAS Studio. Knowledge of networking, load balancing, and security best practices for SAS environments. Performance Optimization Ability to fine-tune SAS performance, manage logs, and optimize storage and memory usage. Incident Management & Troubleshooting Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve system issues quickly.
