Heart & Soul Ethnique Wear is seeking a skilled and imaginative Senior Fashion Designer to become a part of our team. As a Senior Fashion Designer, you will play a crucial role in crafting unique ethnic wear, with a specific focus on sarees. You must possess a profound understanding of traditional craftsmanship, fabrics, and embroidery, along with a keen eye for blending contemporary styles with classic aesthetics to create saree designs that resonate with the modern consumer. Your responsibilities will include designing innovative saree collections that align with current market trends and the brand's identity. You will be tasked with developing original concepts, patterns, and color palettes for each collection, as well as conducting thorough research on fashion trends, color forecasts, and consumer preferences. Collaboration with fellow designers, merchandisers, and production teams will be essential to bring your designs to life, ensuring the final product meets quality and design standards. In addition, you will oversee the sampling process and collaborate with artisans and vendors to incorporate various embellishments, prints, and embroidery techniques into the designs. Maintaining design archives, sketches, and mood boards for future reference will also be part of your role, along with active participation in buyer meetings, exhibitions, and presentations to showcase new collections. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Designing, possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in fashion design, specifically in sarees, and have a strong knowledge of fabric selection, embroidery techniques, and draping styles. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CorelDRAW is required. A creative mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are crucial, alongside excellent communication and teamwork skills.
