Role Overview: As a Principal Investigator in Medicinal Chemistry at Syngene, you will provide strategic and scientific leadership to integrated drug discovery projects for clients. You will liaise with the Functional Head to prioritize projects and ensure project deliverables are met. Your responsibilities will include analyzing SAR, designing new compounds, providing project updates, and collaborating with various teams. Your core commitment will be towards safety, integrity, compliance, quality, and service. Key Responsibilities: - Minimum 6-10 years of experience in drug discovery from the pharmaceutical or biotech industry - Strong understanding of drug discovery concepts, from hit identification to lead optimization - Experience working with cross-functional teams including biologists, chemists, and pharmacologists - Familiarity with molecular modeling concepts and tools - Proficiency in data analysis tools and informatics - Knowledge of cGMP and regulatory requirements - Excellent client communication and presentation skills - Expertise in synthesis planning, synthetic methods, and analytical tools - Proven ability to lead and motivate teams - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Team player with the ability to work well in multi-discipline teams - Strong time management skills and ability to build clear plans Qualification Required: - Ph.D./PDF in Organic/Medicinal Chemistry or relevant field Additional Details: At Syngene, safety is a top priority, and adherence to safety guidelines and procedures is mandatory for all roles.
