SAP Test Engineer

Job Summary:

SAP Testing lead manages SAP testing team and all SAP testing testing activities.
He/she is responsible for planning, managing and executing all testing activities related to SAP applications within Safran Aircraft Engines. He/she will be working closely with project managers, functional experts, SAP programmers, business relationship team or even business key users. He / She will ensure full coordintation of testing efforts and sucessful testing phases during monthly release cycle or implementation/rollout projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Test Planning and Strategy:
Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies for SAP maitenance and projects Define the scope, objectives, and approach for testing activities Update global testing policy and strategy 2. Test Design and Execution: Oversee the design, development, and execution of test cases, scripts, and scenarios Ensure test cases cover functional, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing Coordinate the execution of manual and automated tests 3. Team Leadership and Coordination: Lead and mentor a team of testers, providing guidance and support as needed Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, solution and functional experts, and project managers Facilitate communication and coordination among stakeholders to ensure alignment on testing objectives and progress 4. Defect Management: Establish and manage defect tracking processes Analyze and prioritize defects, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution Communicate defect status and impact to stakeholders 5. Quality Assurance: Ensure testing activities comply with organizational standards and methodologies Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes. Conduct regular reviews and audits of testing activities and deliverables 6. Reporting and Documentation: Provide regular status reports on testing progress, risks, and issues to project stakeholders. Document test plans, test cases, test results, and other relevant artifacts Ensure proper documentation of testing processes and outcomes for future reference 7. Environment Management: Assess testing environment readiness (configuration, interfaces, users/access, testing data...) Coordinate with IT and infrastructure teams to support testing activities 8. Stakeholder Management: Engage with solution/functional experts to gather requirements and ensure testing meets business needs Conduct user training and support user acceptance testing (UAT) if required Act as the primary point of contact for all testing-related inquiries and issues Prepare and present test reports and metrics to stakeholders.
