SAP SD functional consultant

Functional Consultant Role:

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and validate business requirements.
Define and document business processes, ensuring alignment with SAP best practices. Translate business needs into functional specifications and oversee configuration tasks. Act as the primary liaison between the technical team and business users, ensuring clear communication and understanding.

Functional and technical consultants will contribute to the development and delivery of essential project documents and activities, including:

Project Planning and Preparation: Functional consultants will define business process requirements, while technical consultants will establish technical architecture and resources.

Business Blueprint: Functional consultants will map out business processes, while technical consultants will define technical specifications to support these processes.

Realization and Configuration: Functional consultants will oversee the realization of configured solutions based on business needs, while technical consultants will implement and configure custom solutions in SAP.

WRICEF Documentation and Functional Specifications: Functional consultants will define functional specifications for WRICEF objects, while technical consultants will create detailed technical specifications and perform development tasks.

Testing: Both functional and technical consultants will play active roles in testing activities:
Functional consultants will validate business scenarios during user testing and user acceptance testing.

Cutover and Migration Activities
Functional consultants will coordinate with stakeholders to validate data requirements and business processes during the cutover, while technical consultants will lead the execution of data migration, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and system readiness

Go-Live Support

During the go-live phase, functional consultants will provide business users with training and support, ensuring that all business processes are executed correctly. Meanwhile, technical consultants will be on-hand to monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure that the system functions smoothly in the live environment.

Lessons Learned

Both functional and technical consultants will contribute to documenting key takeaways from the project. Functional consultants will focus on business process improvements and end-user feedback, while technical consultants will document technical insights, challenges faced, and recommended best practices for future projects.
