Position Summary: As a Senior Application Manager, you will be a key driver in building our digital core SAP Transportation Management for the Inland Platform. You will be responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of critical SAP applications, leading incident and problem Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) to cost-effective solutions. Backlog Coordination: Coordinate defect resolution and manage the Business As Usual (BAU) backlog in collaboration with external deployment and build teams. Guidance & Quality Assurance: Provide technical guidance to internal and external developers, driving performance and ensuring quality deliverables. DevOps Evolution: Work collaboratively across the platform to truly evolve towards DevOps practices, target continuous releases, and promote the reuse of other enabling technologies. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives for applications, focusing on enhancing stability, performance, and user experience. Risk Management: Remediate operational and cyber risks associated with applications and highlight any risks and issues that could affect development or deliveries. Health & Performance Monitoring: Ensure the overall health and optimal performance of applications. Required Experience & Skills: Overall Experience: 10+ years of experience in SAP Software development, IT Operations, Delivery Management, and/or Product Ownership. Leadership: Proven ability and experience to provide general and technical leadership to development teams. SAP Product Lifecycle: Hands-on experience (from similar SAP in-house positions or a consulting background) demonstrating an in-depth understanding of the SAP product lifecycle, solutioning, terminology, and processes. SAP Implementation Track Record: A strong track record of developing and implementing SAP applications. SAP Architecture: Knowledgeable in aspects of SAP application architecture. Quality Assurance: Able to conduct design reviews, test cases, and analyze test results. Incident Management: Experienced in analyzing complex incidents, managing system recovery processes, conducting RCAs, and performing performance tuning. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with business leaders and technical experts at all organizational levels. Ideally, candidates should have: Experience working in the transportation or logistics industry. Experience in developing and implementing SAP logistics / transportation applications.
