SAP CAPM consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP CAPM (Cloud Application Programming Model) Consultant to join our growing team. This role requires a hands-on developer with deep expertise in building cloud-native applications using SAP CAPM, focusing on both backend logic and user interface development with Fiori Elements. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of CDS, UI annotations, integration with HANA Cloud, and an understanding of workflow and process automation. Key Responsibilities: CAPM Development & Modeling: Implement CAP CDS (Core Data Services) entity and view definitions. Semantically enrich CDS definitions with UI annotations to guide Fiori Elements rendering. Apply knowledge of associations and restrictions within CDS models. Utilize and manage custom data types and field controls within CAPM applications. Develop custom UI actions to enhance application functionality. Persistence & Integration: Implement the persistence layer for CAPM applications, often integrating with SAP HANA Cloud. Execute SDA (Smart Data Access) implementation for integrating with on-premise S/4HANA systems. Integrate CAPM applications with SAP HANA Cloud. Fiori Elements & UI Development: Develop and extend Fiori Elements applications, including: List report extensions. Object page header and section extensions. Responsive table and Tree-table extensions. Perform mock runs for Fiori Elements applications during development. Workflow & Process Automation: Integrate CAPM applications with Workflow services. Implement and manage Process Automation using Fiori Elements. Develop custom workflows within CAPM applications. Create custom UI for process automation where standard Fiori Elements might not suffice. Utilize process visibility to monitor and analyze business processes. Required Skills & Experience: Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with CAP CDS entity/view definition and implementation. Proficiency in semantically enriching CDS definitions with UI annotations. Knowledge of associations and restrictions within CDS. Experience with custom data types and field controls. Ability to implement custom UI actions. Proven experience in integrating CAPM applications with HANA Cloud. Strong knowledge and implementation experience of the persistence layer in CAPM. Experience with SDA implementation for on-premise S/4HANA integration. Familiarity with Fiori Elements and its extensibility concepts (List report extensions, Object page > header and section extensions, Responsive table and Tree-table extensions). Experience with Workflow integration, Process Automation, custom workflows, custom UI for processes, and Process Visibility. Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to design and troubleshoot complex CAPM solutions. Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly. Domain: SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAPM)
