SAP BW Consultant

Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Design & Development

• Design and develop data models, InfoProviders, ADSOs, CompositeProviders, and MultiProviders.
• Develop ETL flows using

  BW DataSources

  ,

  Transformations

  , and

  DTPs

  .
• Work on BW queries using

  BEx Query Designer

  and support reporting teams.

2. BW on HANA / BW/4HANA

• Utilize HANA native capabilities for optimized data modeling.
• Work on Open ODS Views, HANA views, and data extraction scenarios.
• Perform data replication using SLT / ODP frameworks.

3. Integration & Collaboration

• Collaborate with functional teams (FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, HR, SCM) for requirement gathering.
• Integrate BW with SAP Analytics tools like

  SAC

  ,

  BOBJ

  , or

  Power BI

  .
• Work closely with technical teams for performance tuning and simplification.

4. Testing & Deployment

• Conduct unit testing, SIT, UAT support, and defect resolution.
• Manage cutover activities, migration, and production deployment.
• Prepare documentation and user training materials.

5. Support & Performance Optimization

• Handle production support, analyze issues, and provide resolutions.
• Optimize data load performance, query runtime, and HANA modeling.
• Monitor process chains, jobs, and system performance.

Required Skills & Experience

• 510+ years of handson experience in

  SAP BW 7.x

  or

  SAP BW/4HANA

  .
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and BW architecture.
• Handson expertise in

  BEx Queries

  ,

  InfoObjects

  ,

  ADSO

  ,

  CompositeProvider

  .
• Experience working with

  SAP ECC or S/4HANA DataSources

  .
• Good understanding of

  HANA modeling

  (Calculation Views preferred).
• Knowledge of

  ABAP routines

  (optional but preferred).
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
