SAP ABAP Consultant

You are a highly experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with over 10 years of experience, specializing in ODATA, FIORI, and RAP (RESTful Application Programming). You will be joining our project on a contract basis in Chennai, working on-site. Your role involves designing, developing, and implementing custom solutions using SAP ABAP with integration of ODATA services, FIORI apps, and RAP. You will also be responsible for developing and enhancing various objects in SAP such as Reports, Interfaces, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, and Enhancements. In this position, you will build and maintain SAP FIORI/UI5 applications and ensure their seamless integration with SAP back-end systems. Your key responsibilities include creating ODATA services for FIORI applications and integrating them with RAP models. You will collaborate closely with functional consultants and business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. As an SAP ABAP Consultant, you will conduct code reviews, unit testing, and support system integration and user acceptance testing. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to performance, bugs, and enhancements will be part of your daily tasks. It is essential to ensure code quality and adhere to SAP best practices and project standards. To excel in this role, you must have a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development. You should possess strong expertise in ODATA service development and integration, as well as proficiency in SAP FIORI/UI5 application development. Practical knowledge and project experience in SAP RAP (Restful ABAP Programming Model) are also required. A good understanding of the SAP S/4HANA environment and architecture is essential, along with solid experience in debugging and performance optimization. Your problem-solving skills and communication abilities will play a crucial role in this position. The work location for this role is in Chennai, and it requires you to work from the office.,
