As an Engineer - Design at GEA, you will be a part of one of the largest suppliers for the food and beverage processing industry and various other process industries. Your responsibilities and tasks will include understanding the task requirements and evaluating the necessary input from the business. You will be expected to proactively communicate any missing information, tools, or resources needed to execute the task efficiently. Your role will involve creating 3D models and 2D drawings of various products using GEA technology, following the established drawing/model review process within the team, and taking full accountability for your design drawings and models. Additionally, you will be responsible for generating equipment fabrication drawings and bill of materials, as well as executing and delivering engineering projects to the business. Time management, planning work in line with project schedules, and creating product deliverables in areas such as transportation, lifting, and service will be crucial aspects of your role. You should also be flexible enough to handle new tasks beyond design, such as engineering documentations. To excel in this position, you should hold a Degree/Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD Tools, particularly Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD 2023 or higher, is required, while knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D would be an added advantage. Familiarity with workflow and integration between Autodesk Vault and Autodesk Inventor, fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and surface treatment is essential. Moreover, you should possess knowledge of hygiene and sanitary requirements of equipment, the ability to read and understand equipment specifications, P&ID information, and engineering drawings, as well as expertise in Design Fundamentals and BOM creation. Being technically sound is crucial, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications like Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Knowledge of PDM & ERP systems such as Bluestar, Axapta, SAP would be advantageous. As a team player, you should exhibit agility and independence in task execution, be open to taking on various design tasks within or across teams, and maintain a self-motivated approach to learning various products and systems within GEA technologies. You should be a solution seeker when faced with challenges, work systematically and independently with a team focus, possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, and be adaptable to agile scenarios. Continuous learning on the job is encouraged, given GEA's international nature and the necessity to collaborate with colleagues globally. Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is mandatory for effective communication in this role.,
