We are seeking a diligent and customer-focused IT Hospital Technician to provide essential technical support to our clinical and administrative staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundational knowledge of computer hardware (including printers and peripherals) and various software applications, with a commitment to maintaining system functionality and data security in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Key Responsibilities Hardware Support: Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices. Software Support: Install, configure, and update various software applications and operating systems (e.g., Windows, MS Office, basic EMR systems), ensuring smooth functionality. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and basic network issues in a timely manner, either in person, remotely, or via phone. User Assistance: Serve as the first point of contact for staff experiencing technical difficulties, providing clear instructions and guidance to ensure minimal disruption to clinical workflows. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records and logs of all IT equipment, repairs, and maintenance activities. Compliance & Security: Ensure compliance with all organizational IT policies and healthcare regulations, especially those regarding patient data privacy and security (e.g., HIPAA). Documentation & Training: Create and maintain technical documentation and assist in training new users on proper use of hardware and software. Collaboration: Work effectively within the IT team and collaborate with other departments and external vendors to resolve complex issues or implement new systems. Required Qualifications & Skills Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware components, and software (operating systems and basic applications). Problem-Solving: Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff with patience and empathy.
