• Role Overview

  The Business Analyst (BA) supports Patient Services and Commercial Operations by translatingcomplex, regulated business needs into clear, testable, and auditable requirements for HealthCloud and other solutions support Patient Access and External Growth and Innovation projects.The BA operates at the intersection of business stakeholders (Patient Services, Access,Reimbursement, Hub Operations) and technology delivery teams, ensuring that solutionscomply with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, GxP where applicable) while improving patient,provider, and internal user experiences.This role is critical to the successful delivery of Salesforce Health Cloud, digital patientengagement, data exchange, and workflow automation initiatives, ensuring traceability frombusiness intent through design, testing, and production deployment.

  Primary Responsibilities

  Patient Services & Stakeholder Engagement• Partner closely with Patient Services business leaders, product owners, and operationalteams to understand end-to-end workflows (e.g., enrollment, benefits verification, priorauthorization, copay, case management).• Act as the primary requirements liaison for Health Cloud capabilities supporting patient,provider, and field-facing use cases.

  Requirements & Functional Analysis

  • Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business and functional requirements in supportof regulated Patient Services solutions.• Translate high-level business needs into detailed functional requirements, user stories,and acceptance criteria that are consumable by development and configuration teams.• Evaluate requirements for feasibility, regulatory impact, data integrity, security, anddownstream operational implications.Health Cloud Delivery Support• Create and maintain user stories within backlog management tools (e.g., Jira), ensuringclarity, traceability, and alignment to Patient Services priorities.• Collaborate with solution architects and developers to ensure requirements align withSalesforce Health Cloud capabilities, integration patterns, and enterprise standards.• Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and cross-team dependency managementin Agile or hybrid delivery models.Process & Data Documentation (Regulated Context)• Document current-state and future-state patient services workflows, system interactions,and data flows.• Produce and maintain formal artifacts such as User Requirement Specifications (URS)and Source-to-Target mappings (STTM), functional specifications, and process diagramsrequired for audits and compliance reviews.• Ensure end-to-end requirements traceability from business need through solutiondesign, testing, and validation.Testing, Validation & UAT• Support System Integration Testing (SIT) by clarifying business intent, validating testscenarios, and resolving defects tied to requirements.• Lead or actively support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with Patient Servicesstakeholders, ensuring solutions meet functional, data, and compliance expectations.• Facilitate demos and walkthroughs to validate delivered Health Cloud functionality priorto business sign-off.

  Continuous Improvement & Quality

  • Identify opportunities to streamline Patient Services workflows through automation, dataintegration, and enhancements.• Contribute to the standardization and continuous improvement of business analysispractices, templates, and documentation across Patient Services IT.• Support knowledge transfer to operations, support teams, and Test/Validation partners.Required Skills & ExperienceCore Business Analysis• Strong experience in business requirements elicitation, functional analysis, andstakeholder facilitation• Proven ability to translate regulated business workflows into clear, testable systemrequirements• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to operate acrossbusiness and technical audiences

  Health Cloud & Delivery Model

  • Experience supporting platforms, preferably Salesforce and/or Health Cloud• Familiarity with Agile / DevOps delivery models, user stories, and backlog management• Experience working with integration-heavy solutions and cross-system dependenciesRegulated IT & Patient Services (Preferred)• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated commercial environments• Understanding of compliance, auditability, data privacy, and validation expectations inPatient Services solutions• Ability to produce clear, traceable documentation suitable for regulated IT deliveryEducation & Experience• Bachelors degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field(or equivalent experience).• 3–7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with experience supporting HealthCloud or enterprise platforms.• Experience supporting Patient Services, Commercial Operations, or healthcareworkflows is strongly preferred.Key Interfaces• Patient Services business teams and product owners• Stakeholder Success Leads / Product Management• Solution Architects, Developers, and Integration teams• QA, Validation, and Support teams
