Position Summary: Candidate will work out of Pune, India facility and will report to the Executive Director. Candidate must demonstrate the following to be considered: Primary interface to Sales Engineering Staff, Engineering and Scheduling. Provides consultation to and sits as a member of global executive committees. Report customer activity, prepare and update Sales Forecasts. Prepare and update Product Program Matrix. Schedule Sales Engineers. Act as a consultant and direct global activities. Prepare proposals for all products. Ensure that proper coordination takes place on all projects. Define Sales responsibilities for Domestic Sales Force. Prepare and develop video and hard copy presentations for all products. Prepare Sales forecasts for North America. Coordinate the quoting process and schedules to prepare timely proposals. Manage the Estimation and Proposals for the business units within the Sales Department (Assembly, Welding and Non-Automotive) Manage the quote process from receipt of customer RFQ through delivery of final quote and technical proposal to the customer. Ensure all quotes have gone through a pre-defined screening process, received management approval, and are delivered to the customer on time. Develop and maintain one common database-driven costing template and common technical proposal templates that will utilized across all four sales departments. Discussions with team members to understand job costing and lessons learned from previous jobs. Develop and implement common process sheets, timelines, layout drawings, and cycle time charts. Deliver with proposals as required. Attend line up meeting at customer end as required. Documentation and maintenance of all customer rate sheets. Review, management, and storage of all customer RFQs, specifications, and terms & conditions. Define and document exceptions and required changes as appropriate and incorporate into the quote/proposal. Review of all RFQs with salesman prior to beginning quote process to define scope of supply, timing, risk, job feasibility, and quote strategy. Work actively with department heads in manufacturing, engineering, and purchasing to ensure proper purchase component pricing and labor hours are used. Also work with scheduling to ensure proper lead times are placed on proposals. Manage of engineering change quote process. Support Purchasing to develop standard pricing blankets with key suppliers. Manage customer online web portals. Work closely with Data Administrator to ensure all required design data has been received and is useable prior to beginning quote process. Management of the quote drive which includes the storage of all quotes, customer RFQs, specifications, design data, terms & conditions, supplier quotes, concepts, and customer correspondence. Final review of all sales orders prior to release to company to ensure all required information is included and up to date (technical content, budget, timing commitment). Ensure that all sales orders are correctly assembled and contain full definition of the required and customer deliverables. Attend weekly job kick off meetings. Support Sales & Project Management Teams in cost reviews Assist Mechanical/Controls Engineering Staff to prepare proposals for new equipment and R&D projects. Participate in capacity planning reviews and provide input to ensure quoted business can be supported by the organizations internal and external resources. Requirements: Advanced Engineering Degree. Management Degree will be a Plus 15+ years in Industrial Automation, preferably in the Automotive Industry Thorough Product Knowledge of Automation Requirements in Assembly & Welding for Components in Automotive and non-Automotive Areas Strong understanding of Assembly & Welding Process. Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint capabilities. Ideal candidate will have Auto Cad, Solid Works, or Inventor experience.
