Job Title: Quantity SurveyorJob Summary: A Quantity Surveyor (QS) is responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. Their primary role is to ensure that building projects are completed within budget, on time, and in compliance with legal and quality standards. They assess project costs, prepare estimates, manage budgets, and oversee financial performance through the lifecycle of a construction project. Key Responsibilities: Cost Estimation & Planning: Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects. Conduct feasibility studies and risk analyses. Advise on procurement strategy and cost-saving opportunities. Tendering & Contracts: Prepare tender documents and manage the tendering process. Evaluate bids and negotiate contracts with contractors and suppliers. Draft and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with legal standards. Cost Control & Management: Monitor project budgets and expenditures. Conduct cost analysis and value engineering. Identify and manage variations, changes in scope, and cost implications. Project Financial Reporting: Produce regular cost reports and forecasts. Prepare and submit interim and final valuations. Manage project cash flow and payment processes. Site Visits & Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients. Visit construction sites to monitor progress and verify completed work. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality standards. Work Environment: Office-based with frequent site visits. May require travel depending on project locations.
