Role & responsibilities Perform charge/discharge tests, capacity, cycle life, thermal, and safety tests on 314 Ah battery packs. Operate battery cyclers, thermal chambers, DAQ systems, and other battery test equipment. Analyse test results, prepare technical reports, and provide feedback for product design improvements. Validate BMS (Battery Management System) functionality, including protections, balancing, and CAN communication. Monitor IR (Internal Resistance), OCV (Open Circuit Voltage), and leakage current. Support DC Insulation Resistance and Hi-Pot tests for high-voltage packs. Conduct dynamic testing to measure voltage drop under load and identify weak cells/modules. Conduct testing as per applicable standards (IEC, ISO, AIS, UL, etc.) ESS battery systems. Support root cause analysis for test failures and assist in corrective actions. Follow strict safety protocols in high-voltage battery environments. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or related field. Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in battery pack testing (preferably Li-ion). Understanding of Li-ion battery chemistry, BMS functionality, and CAN communication. Experience in testing large-format cells/modules/packs (e.g., 314Ah).
