Title: Sr. Engineer Company: Vimta labs ltd Division: Electrical & Electronics testing and certification Location: Genome Valley, Shameerpet, Hyderabad Type of employment: Permanent Job Summary : As the Sr. Engineer for Electrical and Electronics Product Safety and Performance Testing, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the testing and reporting of E&E products, including appliances, electronics, and other consumer goods. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, provide technical expertise and ensure that products meet relevant safety and performance standards (e.g., IEC, UL, CE, etc.). Your leadership will drive continuous improvement in testing protocols, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities : Leadership and Team Management : Manage and mentor a team of engineers and testing professionals to conduct safety and performance testing on household products. Testing Oversight : Oversee and ensure the execution of safety testing, performance testing, and reliability evaluations for a broad range of E&E products. Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all testing procedures and results comply with global safety standards (e.g., IEC, UL, CE, BIS, etc.) and relevant regulations. Continuous Improvement : Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, equipment, and testing methods to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve product quality. Documentation & Reporting : Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of all test results, including preparation of detailed reports for customers, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders. Stay Updated with Industry Trends : Keep abreast of emerging trends in E&E product safety testing, new regulations, and technological advancements to ensure testing protocols remain current and effective. Qualifications : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in E&E product safety and performance testing, with a strong background in testing standards and protocols (e.g., IEC 60950, IEC 61010, IEC 62368.). Expertise in safety testing (e.g., IT, Audio and Video products) and performance testing (e.g., efficiency, durability, user safety) of household products. Strong understanding of regulatory standards and certifications applicable to Electrical and Electronics products Proficient in using testing equipment such as multimeters , hipot testers , thermal chambers , vibration testers , and electrical safety analysers . Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on improving product safety and performance. Excellent leadership and communication skills , with the ability to manage teams, interact with clients, and present complex technical information clearly. Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 17025) and industry compliance requirements for electrical and electronics products. Hands-on experience participating in NABL, BIS, and TEC audits.

As a Quality Inspector - PDI, your primary responsibilities will include conducting inspections at factory locations and preparing inspection reports. You will also be responsible for responding to client inquiries regarding the status of inspections. In this role, you will be required to perform inspections on a variety of electrical and electronics items such as CCTV, transformers, mobile phones, household appliances (e.g., refrigerators, washing machines), and industrial products at factory premises based on client specifications. Additionally, you will conduct safety and functional testing on household goods in accordance with standards such as IEC 60335-1, IEC 60065, IEC 60598-1, and IEC 60950-1. It is essential that you are familiar with both Indian (IS) and international standards (IEC) and proficient in sampling methods (AQL). Candidates for this position should hold a B.Tech degree in Electrical or Electrical & Telecommunication discipline from a reputable institution with a strong academic background. Familiarity with inspection systems and quality control tools is required. The role involves extensive travel, often on short notice. Key attributes for success in this role include the ability to work independently, proactively, and possess excellent language and interpersonal skills. Effective communication in English, Hindi, and/or the local language is necessary. The job demands extensive travel and the ability to manage time constraints effectively. Role & responsibilities Responsible for timely delivery/completion of projects as per procedure. (P.03 Certifications/Approvals/Testing etc.). Perform other duties as assigned including accreditations/Notification tasks, and preparation of procedures/check list. Schemes Handling: GSO, MOIAT, Product testing, MAN, BAH, YEM, Dubai Municipality, GMPA services Preferred candidate profile 2 - 5 years of relevant experience Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
